Petrichor was born from an eye-opening moment experienced by our co-founder, Michael, who, after years of working in Africa, recognized the vast potential and dire challenges of the continent's agriculture. While visiting many countries and engaging with numerous growers, he saw firsthand how outdated farming methods, lack of quality inputs, and inadequate infrastructure hindered productivity. The defining moment came during a discussion with a farmer in East Africa who was struggling to improve his yield with limited resources. This pivotal experience inspired Michael to leverage technology to transform agriculture in Africa. Today, Petrichor MyFarm empowers farmers with cutting-edge AI and machine learning tools, enabling them to plan, execute, and optimize their activities for higher yields and better profitability. Our purpose is to drive sustainable growth and food security across Africa, and we are committed to continuously innovating and expanding our impact, one farm at a time.
